Stone Parish Council is extremely disheartened to discover that two of our toddler swings at Stone Castle Park were vandalised in the last few days.
The central safety bars were removed from both swings rendering them unusable and, disgustingly, dog mess was pushed into the voids. Acts of stupid vandalism like this not only make the swings unsafe, but lead to expensive and lengthy repairs while new parts are sourced.

The swing set will now be out of action for up to 14 days while we await parts and the Grounds team will be taken away from regular maintenance to carry out the cleaning and repairs. The cost to the council, and therefore the community, is around £200, which affects the amount that can be spent positively for local benefit.

Should any resident witness any vandalism to our sites or anywhere in the Parish, we urge you to report it to the police. The best way to do this is to use the opens in a new windowMy Community Voice messaging service or by calling 101.
