We are launching a community cycling club on Sunday 23rd April called Stone Social Cycling. Every Sunday we will have trained instructors leading a group for casual rides around open green spaces in the Stone area. The group will mainly stick to open green space/parks and avoid road cycling. The group is aimed at those aged 18 and over who have limited experience at cycling. You are welcome to bring your own bike but we will also have a collection of bikes available for residents to borrow. Our launch event will take place outside Lizzies at Stone Recreation Ground (Hayes Road, DA9 9DS) from 1pm – 4pm. Instructors will be available for prospective members to ask questions, you can try out some of our new bikes and if we have enough people there we may have a short guided ride around Stone Recreation Ground.

This group is ideal for anyone who has an interest in cycling, is looking for ways to become more active and meet new people from the local area.

This is a group for the community so we would welcome your feedback. Please let us know what you think of our plans and if you have any ideas how we can make things better please let us know by emailing events@stoneparishcouncil.comcreate new email.

If you are interested in coming to our launch event please sign-up by booking a free ticket below.

We would like to thank Sport England and Cycling UK for their support in funding this project.
