The Stone Parish Remembrance Service and Parade will take place on Sunday 10th November 2019 at 2:45pm.

Hundreds of local residents, uniformed groups and representative form local churches and organisations regularly attend to pay their respects to those that were wounded or lost their lives fighting for their country.

A parade down to the war memorial will set off at 2:45pm, with the service at the memorial starting at 3pm. The poignant order of service will be conducted by Reverend Kenneth Clark from Stone St Mary’s Church, with hymns and the national anthem sung by the St Mary’s choir, alongside the Gravesend Borough Band.

Following the formal laying of the wreaths by the Mayor and elected representatives, residents will be invited to lay their own tributes, which this year will feature remembrance rocks painted earlier at events organised by Stone Parish Council.

Free refreshments will be served at Stone Pavilion after the service.
