The Council was extremely disappointed to have to cancel Stone Fete 2020 due to COVID-19. Not only is it a hugely popular event for our residents, it also raises thousands of pounds for local charities and community groups to help sustain their activities.

As such, rather than letting the day go unmarked, we would like to provide you with a little flashback of photos from previous years, and give a little plug to our regular charity and local group stallholders to make you aware of the services and support they provide to our community.

Please consider getting in touch with them to find out more about what they do or how you could join in or support them in their cause.

It is difficult to know what the prognosis is for when the next Stone Fete will take place, but rest assured it will be back and we look forward to the time when we can come together once more to celebrate our community spirit! Happy Not-Stone-Fete Day!!

In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are ‘learning by doing’ when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves. We aim to do this by providing them with excellent opportunities to learn new skills, meet new friends and have an amazing adventure!

Royal National Lifeboat Institution logo

We are the charity that saves lives at sea. We do this through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, water safety education and flood rescue.

Our volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland, and our seasonal lifeguards look after people on busy beaches. Our Flood Rescue Team helps those affected by flooding.

RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives since 1824 but we’re more than a rescue service. We influence, supervise and educate people too. Our Community Safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast. And our international teams work with like-minded organisations to help tackle drowning in communities at risk all around the world.

This year was our first year and it was amazing. Such a welcoming free event thats well run. I love that we can pay one price for wrist bands and unlimited rides, the kids had a blast. Great music to suit everyone and get the party starting.
