Elected representatives for Kent & Dartford at Stone Senior's Tea & Cake morningStone Parish Senior’s had their very own Question Time this morning as representatives for Kent, Dartford and Stone formed a panel to field questions about both local and national issues.

Fresh from his return to Parliament, Gareth Johnson MP provided some insight into the current Brexit discussions and resumption of talks regarding potential Scottish Independence.

Leader of Dartford Borough Council, Jeremy Kite and KCC Chairman Ann Allen were on hand to respond to questions regarding council housing, immigration and highways concerns. With Parish Chairman, John Burrell, and Vice-Chair, Stephanie Thredgle, picking up on comments regarding dog bins, parish council and other tiers responsibilities, and approaches to chairing meetings.

All panel members embraced the light-hearted banter regarding their motivations for entering public life and their potential favourite daed-or-alive dinner guest.

Newly appointed Kent Community Warden, Pirthipal Kang, also came along to introduce himself to parish residents and explain his aspirations fro his new role.

The raffle helped to raise a total of £60 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The next Senior’s Tea & Cake Morning will be held on Friday 25th October and will feature Remembrance rock painting ahead of November’s activities.
