Playgrounds

Stone Parish Council will be re-opening playgrounds at Waterstone Park and Stone Recreation Ground, along with the outdoor gym, on Saturday 4th July, in line with recent Government guidance.

Please be considerate to all users and abide by the following rules:

  • Try to stay 2m apart from other playground users
  • Only one household per piece of equipment at any time
  • Make sure you wash your hands before and after you visit the playground
  • Please do not eat food in the playground
  • Use hand sanitiser regularly
  • Dispose of your rubbish responsibly – or take it home
  • Try to avoid touching your face while in the play area

The council would like to thank you for your cooperation in following these rules. Please work together to stay safe and avoid the further spread of Covid-19.

Please be aware the play areas will be cleaned on a daily basis.

Public Toilets

The public toilets at Stone Recreation ground will also both be open from tomorrow. Please ensure you maintain social distancing at all times. The toilets must be used on a 1 in, 1 out basis and everyone must ensure they are washing their hands thoroughly after use.

These facilities will be cleaned twice a day.

Stone Pavilion

Stone Pavilion currently remains closed to the public. The recent government guidelines do not allow for the regular activities at the pavilion to continue at this time. We are monitoring the situation on a regular basis and will update residents when the building is able to open safely.

If you have any questions relating to the above, please contact council officers on 07385 134063. This number is monitored weekdays between 9am and 1pm.
