This role will provide front of house reception cover at Stone Pavilion as well as administration support for services at Stone Pavilion and The Claire Tiltman Centre.  

This is a full-time permanent position for 37 hours per week. 

Core responsibilities will include:  

  • To provide front of house reception cover 
  • To receive incoming telephone calls and direct as necessary  
  • To receive enquiries and bookings in connection with council facilities and services including carrying out show-rounds with potential hirers 
  • To administer the booking system for venue hire, including following up outstanding invoice payments and direct liaison with hirers (both private and corporate) to assist with questions regarding their specific booking  
  • To perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to, correspondence, setting up meetings, data entry, photocopying and filing in support of council activities as required 
  • To research suppliers, obtain quotes and place orders to fulfil purchase requirements 
  • Ordering and managing stationery

In return, we will provide the following salary and benefits:  

Hours & Salary  

Hours:  37 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Salary: £21,575 + local allowance £951 per annum. Pay award pending.

Next Steps   

 The first stage of the recruitment process requires completion of an application form to assess skills and suitability.  

Responses to these initial questions are reviewed to enable comparison of candidates, against pre-determined scoring criteria to accurately record results. This is repeated for all questions to enable an overall score for each candidate to inform the shortlisting outcome.  

 Following shortlisting, we may use individual and group assessments (as necessary) to observe how candidates respond to tasks and structured final interviews to confirm alignment with the council’s mission and values.
