Letters spelling the word job pinned to a cork boardThe council currently has a vacancy for a part-time Reception Administrator/PA on a 12 month maternity cover contract.

This role is designed to provide exemplary front of house customer services, general correspondence and diary management, and provide support for administration of facility bookings. The post holder will also provide PA to the Parish Clerk.

The role will cover 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm.

Benefits include: Salary £19,554 + £874 Local Allowance (Pro-Rata for 30hrs per week), 33 days annual leave including Bank Holidays

Responsibilities will include:

  • delivering front of house customer services including providing information regarding services and undertaking viewings of facilities
  • administering bookings for council facilities and services ensuring a high level of accuracy and assertiveness is applied to ensure bookings and events run without any issues
  • providing PA support to the Parish Clerk
  • handling all general correspondence and responding as required on behalf of other officers
  • facilitating arrangements and setting up rooms as necessary for bookings and events, including configuring room layouts and preparing refreshments
  • ensuring the front of house is clean, welcoming and has an effective display of information for visitors;
  • maintaining an appropriate filing system
  • ordering and managing stationery and office equipment
  • assisting at council events such as Stone Fete, Remembrance Service and Christmas Lights Switch-on
  • any other duties commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the post
