STONE PARISH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Minutes of the Stone Parish Neighbourhood Plan Directors Meeting held on Thursday 22 June 2017, 7.30pm at the Boardroom, Stone Pavilion, Hayes Road, Stone DA9 9DS

  

DIRECTORS PRESENT:  P Winchester (Chairman), D Bartlett, S Brindley, K Clark, M Mitchell, J Thomas and V Winchester

 

IN ATTENDANCE:  E Mote – Council Coordinator, Stone Parish Council

Apologies for absence were received from J Burrell, K Kelly, S Thredgle and Dartford Borough Council Planning representatives.

 

17/06/17NP:  DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

No declarations of interest were received.

 

18/06/17NP:  TO APPROVE MINUTES OF THE STONE PARISH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN DIRECTORS MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 1 JUNE 2017

Directors approved the minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 1 June as presented.

 

19/06/17NP:  TO DISCUSS ANY MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES NOT ON THE AGENDA

There were no matters arising from minutes of the previous meeting.

 

20/06/17NP:  SCOPE & CONTENT OF NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

  1. To consider action in respect of conducting public consultation at Stone Fete 2017

Directors reviewed, in detail, presentation material produced by consultant Tony Burton. Relevant amendments were made ahead of production of 8 x A0 boards which would form the Neighbourhood Plan public consultation presentation at Stone Fete.

 

A gift hamper would be purchased as a prize incentive for residents participating in consultation.

 

A Director rota would be organised to ensure all-day cover for the Neighbourhood Plan Exhibition Tent and questionnaires produced for completion by the public.

 

  1. To receive update regarding Vision Statement

Directors were pleased to confirm, with minor amendments, the Vision Statement prepared by the Chairman, VW and MM:

“To make a healthy, safe environment that will provide for the whole community in terms of education, health, recreation and housing that meets the needs of all.

 

To ensure that all new development contributes to the creation and enhancement of clean green spaces and a sustainable environment with access to jobs and essential services, maintaining and improving quality of life for all who live and work in the parish of Stone”.

 

  1. To receive update in respect of Community Land Trusts

The Chairman confirmed that he had met with Steven Hill regarding the initiation of a CLT for Stone. It was confirmed that there is a requirement for a minimum of 7 directors to form a CLT to facilitate local housing provision and determine how affordable homes are delivered to the community. More information will follow.

 

21/06/17NP:  PROCEDURE

  1. To resolve date for next meeting

The proposed date for the next meeting was agreed for Thursday 31 July 2017. Directors and Planning Officers to be informed via Samepage.

 

22/06/17NP:  TO CONCLUDE ITEMS FOR THE NEXT AGENDA

There were no items proposed for inclusion on the next agenda.

 

The Chairman thanked those present for their attendance before closing the meeting.
