05/06/19RF: TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY 13 FEBRUARY 2019

The minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday 13 February 2019 were approved.

07/06/19RF: PUBLIC REALM

  1. To discuss the vandalism of the playground

Members were informed that the youths who had vandalized the playground had been identified and the Youth officer for Kent Police had given them restorative justice where they will be doing community service for the Council.  Members agreed this was an appropriate response.

  1. To note Grounds Manager’s Stone Recreation Ground playground condition report

Members noted the playground condition report and there was a discussion on the best course of action. Members noted the need for updated and inclusive equipment. It was agreed that the outline planning permission would be done for the Recreation Ground Masterplan so that movement can be made on replacing the playground which forms an important part of the plan.

08/06/19RF: EVENTS

  1. To receive feedback regarding the Easter Egg Hunt

Members discussed the event and commented that the staff were very helpful, the event went well and the format was good but that it is nice for the children to collect something.

  1. To receive an update regarding Stone Fete 2019

Members received an update regarding Stone Fete 2019 and noted that it looked to be another successful year for the fete with a lot of interest on social media

  1. To discuss potential summer activities

Members discussed the potential for summer activities and unanimously agreed to use £3000 from the youth services budget to provide activities for children over the last 3 weeks of August.

  1. To discuss the Parish Remembrance Service & Parade

Members noted the date of the remembrance service and parade and confirmed that more information and invites would go out closer to the time.

09/06/19RF: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

  1. To discuss installation of a defibrillator unit at Stone Pavilion

Members discussed the importance of a defibrillator unit being available at the Pavilion as it is used by so many people. Members agreed to recommend to the full council to take the amount of £1069 out of CIL to purchase the unit.

Members received the hirer feedback report.

  1. To receive an update regarding costs to relocate River Hall bar and replace River Hall Kitchen and resolve to recommend to full council expenditure from Community Infrastructure Levy fund

Members received the quotes for the bar relocation and kitchen replacement. Members resolved to recommend to the full council that up to £20,000 be used from CIL to pay for the work.
