Members of Stone Parish Council have resolved further funding contributions to local groups in support of the Covid-19 response.

With Christmas approaching, Stone Parish Council also agreed it was more important than ever, that thought be given to local children who may be disadvantaged this Christmas. Members agreed to donate £500 to the Dartford Toy Appeal. Every year the Dartford Deeds Not Words Foundation help collect toys and distribute them to children. With many of the usual drop off points unable to open this year, members felt it important to provide help where they can.

Chairman Keith Kelly said, “These groups are providing vital services to the community, particularly during the pandemic, and it’s important that they receive support from the council to carry out this good work.

We are very grateful to all the volunteers that give their time to enable the projects to deliver these benefits.”

Groups that provide services to the parish of Stone, particularly those in response to COVID-19, are invited to apply for a council grant. Details can be found on the council’s website at stoneparishcouncil.com or contact clerk@stoneparishcouncil.comcreate new email
