Public Health England (PHE) and the NHS are well-prepared to deal with coronavirus and the priority is to safeguard local communities which sometimes involves taking preventative measures to help reduce the risk of further cases.

PHE are regularly updating the information page on the UK Government website. Visit the UK Government website  but, in the meantime, there are things we can all do to help prevent coronavirus spreading:

– always carry tissues and use them to catch coughs and sneezes, then bin the tissue and wash your hands with soap and water or use a sanitiser gel

– wash your hands more frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds, for example when you get to work or arrive home and before you eat or handle food

– avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

– avoid close contact with people who are unwell

For further information, visit the NHS website.

If are you worried about your symptoms, access the online NHS service  or call NHS 111.  Please Do not go directly to your GP, pharmacy, hospital or other healthcare setting.
