The council has formally resolved its annual budget for 2020-21.

This was a challenging budget-setting process for a number of different reasons, so we have produced a video to explain the basis of the budget and the need to increase the annual tax (per Band D household) by £13.63 per year, or 26p per week.

The council has a number of active projects in the pipeline, including upgrades to Stone Recreation Ground and plans to open the new Claire Tiltman Community Centre in Cotton Lane later this year.

The council looks forward to concluding its forthcoming 5-year strategic plan following receipt of local feedback via the recent Community Needs Survey. More details regarding this will be published shortly.
